“Luang Prabang has a colonial kind of quaintness, with French and German restaurant owners serving Euro-Asian fusion cuisine and wines. Small side streets dominate with boutiques and antique shops mixed amongst the cafes and coffee shops. Best bet was going to visit the former purveyor to Laotian Royalty, Phothisach Rattanahone, Silversmith, and observing the creation of ornate jewelry and cups and bowls made from .99 pure silver. Prices are reasonable and the work is exquisite.” — TripAdvisor
